This Privacy Policy explains how Sahyog (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use our website and beta services at sahyogg.netlify.app.

1. Information we collect

Depending on whether you join as a creator or brand, we may collect:

• Name and contact details (email, mobile number)
• Instagram handle and optional profile URL
• City and state
• Follower range, niche and opportunity interests
• Brand/company name, industry, size, budget preferences and website
• Basic Google account profile information used for authentication (such as name, email and profile photo)
• Technical data such as timestamps related to account activity

2. Why we collect information

• Account creation and Google authentication
• Beta onboarding for creators and brands
• Understanding profiles to prepare future campaign matching
• Communicating about Sahyog beta access and relevant opportunities
• Improving the platform and user experience

3. Authentication

Sahyog uses Google sign-in for authentication. Your Google password is never shared with Sahyog. Authentication is handled through Google and Firebase Authentication.

4. Data storage

Application and profile data are stored using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

5. Public visibility

Your exact personal address is not publicly displayed on the Sahyog website. Some profile details may later be used in controlled ways to support matching and collaboration features once those features launch, subject to this policy and our Terms.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may use or share information as needed to operate the service (for example, with infrastructure providers such as Google Firebase), to communicate with you, to comply with law, or to enable platform functionality such as future campaign matching — when that functionality is available.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide beta services, respond to requests, and meet legal or operational requirements. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymise personal data where reasonably possible, subject to any required retention.

8. Your rights / data deletion

You may request access to or deletion of your account and associated personal information. At this stage, deletion requests are handled manually. See our Data Deletion page for how to submit a request.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored online.

11. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as Sahyog evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the revised policy.
